Case Study
Wythall Transport Museum

Wythall Transport Museum

Wythall Transport Museum is home to over 90 buses and coaches with the largest collection of Battery Electric vehicles in the UK. The museum is staffed by volunteers who have a passion for maintaining and restoring the old buses. The halls now accommodate one of the most significant collections of preserved buses in the country.

The museum was bidding for Heritage Lottery Funding to build a new Social History Centre to include a café and shop. Designs were required to RIBA 3 and their architects needed a detailed measured building survey to complete these. They selected G3 to carry out a topographical survey, floor plan survey & elevation survey of the site.

We had strict deadlines to meet on completing these drawings, it was vital we did not cause any delay in the museum’s application design process. We worked closely with Trustee and Project Manager, Seb Amos to ensure our drawings were delivered on time allowing the application process to be submitted with time to spare.

Seb Amos said “G3 were efficient and timely in their activities, providing the detailed drawings we needed to a high standard”.
