Topographical Surveys

A topographical survey, also known as a land survey or topo survey, is a thorough and precise map of an area's natural and man-made features. This kind of survey records details such as terrain elevation, contours, plants, utilities, buildings, roads, and other important elements found on the site.

Using various surveying tools and methods, like GPS, total stations, and aerial or drone-based photogrammetry, our topographical surveys are carried out to gather data about the site. This information is then used to create an in-depth map or plan that presents the site's features in relation to each other, often using contour lines to indicate changes in elevation.

Topographical surveys are essential for a wide range of purposes, including land development, urban planning, infrastructure projects, environmental evaluations, and landscape design. By offering accurate and dependable information, they help architects, engineers, and planners make well-informed decisions about designing, constructing, and managing projects on the surveyed land.

How it Works

01

Pricing

Topographical Surveys are priced on a project by project basis. Factors that will effect the price of your project are size, level of detail required and location.  We are able to cater to any additional  requirements you may need for your surveys during the quoting process.

02

Site Visit

We will arrange a site visit to the plot, during this site visit we will capture the site features by recording accurate measurements of the site using our total stations and GPS systems. By using these tools in combination with traditional survey techniques we are able to quickly and efficiently capture large amounts of data.

03

Processing

The data from the site visit is then processed in the office by our surveyors. The turnaround times for a topographical survey is usually around 1-2 weeks. For larger projects the turnaround times will be outlined during the quoting process.

04

Finished Drawing

A 2D cad file will be provided in DWG or DXF format along with a PDF version. Hard copies are available upon request.
